香港新聞自由再受挑戰！香港英文網媒Hong Kong Free Press（HKFP）過去兩個月多次接獲2/恐嚇' 103660恐嚇信，指控該傳媒分裂香港及中國大陸，更有信件越洋寄往創辦人兼總編輯Tom Grundy住在2/英國' 104520英國的家人，警告他小心行事。面對源源不絕的恐嚇信，Tom Grundy強調，會繼續堅守傳媒責任，不會向惡勢力低頭。
根據HKFP報導，該傳媒及兩名編採人員，近期先後接獲恐嚇信，首次接到信件為今年8月25日，有匿名恐嚇信寄給HKFP現任及前任員工，指控傳媒撰寫偏頗、負面的中國和香港新聞，又指編採人員被外國人「洗腦」；另一封匿名信，則附上50人名單，包括HKFP發行人及個別民運人士名字，聲稱上述人士因分裂中國大陸及香港社會，已被視為有罪。
至於HKFP創辨人兼總編輯Tom Grundy遠居英國的家人，更越洋接到恐嚇信。上周有一封由香港經空郵寄出的匿名信寄至他的英國住址，內容是警告他小心行事，以及行動前要想清楚後果，並語帶威脅地寫到「在政治中，當不認清敵人時，自己可能會受傷，如未來數年Tom發生什麼事，我（發信人）和很多人都會感到難過。」
Tom Grundy接受港媒訪問時透露，過去兩個月接獲最少6款匿名信件，坦言初時不以為意，部分信件甚至已扔掉，但直至9月份，接到匿名信的次數變得更頻繁，甚至每周都會收到，認為事態嚴重並決定報警。
HKFP於2015年6月正式上線，由於香港欠缺英文主流媒體，故HKFP期望以獨立、免費英文新聞平台模式，打破由《南華早報》獨大並壟斷社會議題的英文公共討論框架。
過去兩年，HKFP撰寫大量跟香港、中國大陸有關的政治新聞，外界普遍評價該媒體內容持平，Tom Grundy就強調，HKFP會繼續堅守傳媒責任報導新聞，不會向惡勢力低頭。" target="_blank">【更多精采內容，詳見】
